Re-installing Sage Quickpay & Sage Micropay Professional
If you are re-installing Quickpay or Micropay Professional on the pc or server it is always better to setup the oldest running payroll first & work forward from there.
If for example you have 2006, 2007 & 2008 payroll to be reinstalled then install the 2006 payroll application first & by restoring a backup & running the year end update for that year then build your 2007 directory & continue on with the same process for 2008.
There are Sage Quickpay & Sage Micropay Professional installation downloads available on our payroll site, go to Downloads at sage.ie/pye.
Available versions date back to 2006:
| Sage Quickpay | Sage Micropay Professional |
| V6.1 (2006) | V4.1 (2006) |
| V7.1 (2007) | V5.1 (2007) |
| V8.1 (2008) | V7.2 (2008) |
If you need an earlier payroll version or are having any downloading issues please contact us and one of our support technicians will assist you.
Sage Quickpay and Sage Micropay Professionals’ New RSS News Feed feature makes it possible to receive alerts onto the payroll desktop whenever new updates or important information is available from Sage.
This will ensure that you are kept up to date on all the latest Service Pack or Patch releases.
You can check the News Feed setup by clicking the News Feed Icon on the toolbar to open the RSS page. The configure button has details of the URL address that sends out the prompt to your computer that updates are available. When you receive a prompt that updates are available there will be a link provided in the message to log onto the Sage payroll downloads site. You will just have to fill in your account information & submit the details.
Helpful tips for completing Central Statistics Office (CSO) Reports.
- You must be on Sage Micropay v7.2 or Sage Quickpay v8.1 before you print your quarterly CSO report.
- For the latest downloads go to sage.ie/pye
- The CSO report must be returned on the CSO form. The CSO will currently not accept a report that is printed from Sage Quickpay or Sage Micropay Professional.
- When setting up the CSO feature ensure to precede the CSO number with the letters EN e.g EN12345678. Search the Index of your programs Help files to find detailed CSO setup instructions.
- Check the CSO tab of each employee’s details to ensure all period details are correctly recorded. If the CSO payment type was not set up correctly, the figures will default to Other Payments. In Figure 1 (below), the Regular Pay was not set up correctly for the first 5 periods
