2. Micropay Professional Version 6.00 Release

Micropay Professional 2007 v6.00 is now available to download from http://sage.ie/supportnew/payroll_downloads.asp.

The new feature enhancements include:

Free to all customers with active support:

• Ability to categorise payments as medical insurance for P35 returns

• New P45 Part 3 online submissions

• Easier option for Deleting Employees (Learn how to use this new feature in the ‘Useful Tips’ section below)

• New Customisable Integration Files for Sage 50 & Sage 200    

• Re-designed and simplified Help Files

• New Legislation Guidance Menu with web links to helpful government documentation

For Feature Pack 1 Customers only*:

• Support for completing the Central Statistics Office (CSO) Earnings, Hours and Employment Costs Survey.

• New Batch Timesheet Entry

• New pension processing option for the Construction Workers Pension Scheme (CWPS).

• Ability to apply Holiday Settings across all employees simultaneously

• Ability to pay Holiday Pay hourly

3. Useful Tips

Micropay Professional – It’s now easier to delete employees

A change has been made in Micropay Professional 2007 v6.00 to simplify the process of deleting employees.  There is no longer a need to phone support for a code to access the deletion function.

The new delete employee tool now walks you through the process for removing the employee. The Help Files located in Micropay Professional have also been updated to offer additional assistance.

 

In order to use this new feature, ensure the following:

• You have downloaded Micropay Professional v6.00 from sage.ie /support.
• You are on status ‘Start of Period’.
• You have taken a backup (deletion is not reversible).

4. Quickpay Version 7.2 Update

This update has two important features:

• It allows you open your 2006 and 2007 payroll simultaneously.
• You can upload your P35 to ROS if your company ceases trading before year end.

 

The Web address for this download is sage.ie/pye and select the latest payroll year end downloads ‘Icon’ on the right side of the display page, then follow instructions for entering your account details remembering that if you have any letters in your account number they must be entered in, in capital letters.

5. Quickpay Period Archive

Feature Pack 1 in Quickpay gives you an archive folder of all periods processed so it is possible to print off any report or payslip from a previously archived period. Currently this feature will only take effect once it has been licenced. If you do not already have Feature Pack 1 licensed, email pye@sage.ie  with your company name and account number. We will reply with your new registration details.

6. Payroll Year End (PYE) Packs

With PYE quickly approaching we are making preparations to ensure your year end is as smooth as possible. PYE Packs will be dispatched between the end of November and the beginning of December to all businesses with active support contracts. To receive your PYE Pack on-time please ensure your support contract invoice is fully paid and that you have updated us with your new address & contact details if they have changed. Email your new address, phone and email to us at pye@sage.ie
