Sage Ireland is now offering support on Sage
50, Instant Accounts and Sage Micropay Professional payroll
software to Mac users on Intel powered Macs. Apple Mac users
with Microsoft Windows XP running on their machine with Bootcamp or
virtualisation software such as VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop
will now be officially supported by Sage Ireland.
“Demand has never been greater for complete
and easy-to-use business software solutions on the Mac," explains
Rob O’Keeffe, Strategic Product Manager, Sage Ireland. "Sage
Ireland is giving Mac users the functionality they are looking for
while delivering the kind of user-friendly experience that drew
them to the Mac in the first place."
“I find the Mac to be more efficient and I
have always used it as my preferred IT platform”, explains Stuart
Grimes, Managing Director, Grimes & Co. “Previously,
we used to run Sage on a standalone windows based PC, whilst the
rest of our business was running on the Mac platform. Now that Sage
is supporting their accounting and payroll software on the Mac, we
can migrate the business fully to Mac."
Sage is facilitating Mac users to easily
manage their business on a Mac. Beryl Furlong, General
Manager of Apple Authorised reseller, Typetec has welcomed this
initiative from Sage. “Our Mac based customers have for many
years been looking for a sound, financial application that is
supported on the Mac OS and I think this clearly offers a very
attractive solution to them. “We are also seeing strong
growth in Mac adoption in business and Sage support for Mac users
will surely accelerate this growth in businesses switching
Macs.”
