TAS Books - stage 3
The last of three stages, this 1-day course is recommended to
all TAS Books users as essential training for all who deal with
stock control and reporting as well as sales and purchase order
processing.
We recommend this course as essential training for all who want
a more comprehensive knowledge of TAS Books.
Preparation
Candidates should be comfortable with using a computer, mouse
and keyboard. It is necessary that they have either completed an
Introduction to Bookkeeping course and a TAS Books Stage 1 course,
or, have prior knowledge of accounting and are already familiar
with the material covers on the TAS Books Stage 1 and Stage 2
courses.
Course contents include:
- Learn how to set up project costing and marketing codes
for additional analysis reports
- Setup sales persons and produce sales persons reports
including commission-based reports related to each sales person
- Get TASBooks working for you; eliminate unnecessary and time
consuming duplication of entries by automating regular postings and
recurring entries
- Become familiar with how to plan and maintain stock records,
record physical stock takes, record deliveries and run reports
including profit and re-order analysis
- Look at the purchase order cycle and how it links to the other
areas of TASBooks (with Stock)
- Learn how to process purchase orders, how to print order
documents and create purchase orders based on stock shortages from
customer orders
- A brief look at the common Financial/Management reports
available, in addition to the month end and year end routines

efficient and organised. You will also be able to understand and
manage purchase orders, stock movement and analyse your business
through key financial management reports.
