TAS Books - stage 1
The first of three stages, this 1-day course will enable you to
set up your system correctly to begin processing your TAS software.
This course covers many basic routines that are fundamental to
problem-free accounting.
We recommend this course as essential training to those who are
new to the TAS Books program and also all TAS Books users setting
up for the first time.
Preparation
Candidates should be comfortable with using a computer, mouse
and keyboard. It is necessary that they have either completed an
Introduction to Bookkeeping course, or have prior knowledge of
accounting. Prior use of TAS Books is not required.
Course contents includes:
- set up all company information such as company name, address,
tax codes, along with all the company financial information
- discover the TAS Books Today dashboard
- set up and tailor the nominal ledger to the company’s own
specific needs by utilising the Chart of Accounts program
- become familiar with setting up new customers and suppliers
and also learn how to edit existing records
- how to post customer and supplier invoices and credit notes
through the use of Menu 2 and 3
- learn about recording customer and supplier payments,
allocating them to the relevant customer and supplier invoices, as
well as creating a Supplier Remittance
- discover how to set up and use bank nominal codes, enter bank
details and set up the bank for e-payments
- how to set up user passwords and access rights for additional
security
- see how to backup your TASBooks dataset, as well as restore
it, should the need arise
After this course you will be able to use TAS Books to operate
and manage core accounting functions for your company.
