Is my Sage account no. & serial no. in the program?

In your payroll program go to the top toolbar go to Help then View Licence Information. Select the Edit button and enter your account number and serial number, Click OK to save your settings.

In your payroll program go to the top toolbar, go to Help then View [product] News. Select the Enable checkbox and click OK to save your settings

In your payroll program go to the top toolbar go to Tools then Internet Options. Choose the ‘[Recommended]’ option and click OK to save your settings.

In your payroll program go to the top toolbar go to Help then Check for Updates. Any available updates will be presented to you for download.

Do I have pc administrator rights and related passwords?

PC administrator rights may be required to run the PYE and Budget update. If you're unsure if you have these rights, please contact the person responsible for IT within your business

You will need a valid licence to access your payroll product, the software updates and our payroll support team. If you are unsure that your licence has been paid email sagecover@sage.ie with your Sage account number for further information.

8 Have I taken a Full System Backup?

In Micropay Professional, log as Admin to do this.  Please ensure you include all payrolls and system files.

In Quickpay, include all payrolls, programs files and common files.

9 Have I checked all employees' Tax Deduction Cards/ETP records?

All employees' Tax Deduction Cards/ETP records need to be checked, making sure that all periods have been recorded correctly, that there are no missing periods and that each period has a date.

10 Are all employees on the correct PRSI classes throughout the year?

Ensure that all employees are on the correct PRSI classes throughout the year.  The PRSI can be seen on the employee's Tax Deduction Card/ETP record.
